Notifications

CardBoard sends two kinds of notifications: in-app and email. There’s no Slack or webhook notification today.

Four types appear in the in-app notification feed:

Email covers transactional events, grouped roughly as:

  • Account & sharing — board and group invitations (new and existing users), viewer invitations, guest-link account conversion.
  • Card activity — you were assigned a card; the status changed on a card assigned to you; a comment mentions you.
  • Billing — failed payment, plan expiring soon, cancellation notice, payment confirmations.
  • Reports — your workspace boards report (async CSV export).

Two per-user controls gate delivery:

  • Card notifications — turn card assignment and status emails on or off.
  • Email deliverability — unconfirmed or undeliverable accounts are skipped automatically.
