Changelog
May 2026
May 2026
A top-to-bottom visual refresh, new tree and sitemap board types, and the first AI-proposed cards.
New
- AI proposals (early access). AI tools can now propose cards, connections, and outcomes to a board. Proposals appear as “ghost” cards you review and accept, attributed to an agent — your board only changes when you approve.
- Tree and sitemap boards. New board types with automatic tidy-tree layout, structural parent-child connectors, drag-to-reparent on the canvas, branch color-coding, and subtree dimming to focus on one branch.
- Canvas zones. Render quadrant zones as tinted regions to group cards visually.
- Refreshed settings, profile, and workspace pages. A cleaner, more consistent look across settings — including members and boards tables — with a redesigned profile and workspace navigation.
- Avatar uploads. A modernized avatar experience with image upload.
Improved
- Design system rollout. A comprehensive visual refresh — consistent spacing, typography, color tokens, icons, borders, and radii — for a more polished, cohesive interface throughout the app.
- Connection rendering. Tree and card connections now share a single, crisp line style, and connections dim along with their endpoint cards.
- Card activity timeline. A redesigned event log gives cards a clearer history of what changed and when.
- Payments. A modernized Stripe checkout using Stripe Elements.
Fixed
- Image stickers display correctly right after upload and resize reliably.
- Bulk card moves broadcast to all collaborators.
- Settings pages no longer flash an unstyled layout while loading.
Behind the scenes: migrated to encrypted credentials, retired legacy test and activity-tracking systems, and built the write/proposal foundation for the CardBoard MCP server.
